Isolated participants: Contestants are placed far apart and never compete face to face.
Limited selected equipment: Each contestant chooses ten items from a pre-approved list of forty.
Self-documentation: Contestants film themselves; there is no on-site crew during the survival period.
No contestant voting: There are no alliances or social eliminations.
Endurance: Lasting the longest, not winning a final task, decides the outcome.
Tap-out: Contestants voluntarily withdraw when they can no longer endure.
Medical checks / removal: Producers' medical staff can end participation for safety.

Shaky framing, low light and the absence of a visible crew signal that no one is staging events. Yet casting, equipment limits, rules, and especially editing still shape the story — construction has moved off-screen, not disappeared.
